| | We started by taking the kids to the new fun activity near Yapak called "Zorba." You go in this giant plastic ball with water and they push you down the hill...YEHEY! The boys loved it!
We all decided to look at Puka Beach before we headed out to Mount Luho to see an overview of Boracay. They also had a mini-zoo there, so the kids got look at a few animals while on top of the mountain.
The boys ended the day with building sand sculptures...and Li's volcano! |
| | The first few pics are from Kuya's prayers. We had a feast that night with lobsters, so James and Mike couldn't keep from dancing. Then, before the night was through, we all went to Lake Town for some videoke and was treated to the show of Nante and Carla...HAHAHA! It was a really fun night! |
| | James and Mike decided to snorkel in Bulabog (the back beach of Boracay), since it was "HABAGAT" season...it's always calmer on that side of the island. I decided to go along, which was a bad idea because I ended up sun burnt in the end. Then we walked to D'Mall for some lunch and mango shakes! The men had Japanese food, Ries and Li had burgers and fries, and I had bangus and rice! HAHAHA! Mike and the kids continued playing and swimming later on that afternoon. They are a bunch of energizer bunnies! |
| | Our fun didn't start until about the second day after we landed in Boracay because the day we arrived doesn't count...we were all too exhausted to do anything! The boys and I woke up really early so we decided to walk the beach towards D'Mall. We also took a stroll at the beach after the first day of my Kuya's first year death anniversary prayer in Sinagpa.
It didn't take long before the kids decided to do some bonding with the ocean. Ries picked up skim boarding and Li...was just being Li :)! They both turned dark after only a couple of hours in the sun...they looked like locals. |
| | This is our trip to Boracay from the time we left Raleigh, NC. From the airplane rides, airport stop-overs and the jeepney ride from Kalibo to Caticlan. We made the most of the very long travel back to my homeland. Mike, our good friend from Florida, tagged a long with us. |
I took this video inside the Sonora Desert Dome. Basically, I am taping the kids taking a picture of everything they saw. Just look how crowded it was!
| | I decided to try jumping shots after seeing Jenni's Blog (http://ichigoandbuko.blogspot.com/). The family and I had a blast trying to make each shot look cool. These were taken all over the place...outside the mall, the parking lot at Sam's Club and at the zoo.
HUWAW! |
| | We took a spontaneous trip to the North Carolina Zoo today in Asheboro. It wasn't planned at all...it was almost noon by the time we decided to go. I visited the website to make sure they were open and also printed directions on how to get there. James and I packed up a small lunch box full of snacks (we made tuna sandwiches for ourselves and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the boys), then headed out immediately. The drive took about one hour, but it went by fast because traffic was light. The zoo was crowded, but it was well organized...so all the waiting was bearable. Here are the highlights of our trip. |
Li and I were walking behind James and Ries during our long trek in the woods when I gave him a drink of my chocolate protein shake because he was "dying of thirst" (what he said). After that, he kept saying that it was "TASTINESS"...so we stopped and made a commercial! It's super very cute...

I'm the only girl in the family, so I had no choice but to go...it was actually my idea...I figured it's better than exercising on a machine. I took a photo of everything that we thought was interesting...like an old military boat in the middle of nowhere, a pine cone, bugs and signs. We also came across a construction site...we had to get to the other side so we trespassed! Please don't tell anyone!
*The kids are carrying BB guns...NOT THE REAL THING. |
I just wanted to share with everyone my latest purchase. It is a Kitrobot Kit Bag...similar to a messenger bag, but a lot smaller. It's a fun looking bag for the summer, so I decided to get it. I never knew about the company before so I decided to check it out. They really have a lot of cool things at their website. It's a little high priced, but the quality is there...and the rarity, I guess. I purchased mine on sale...like almost 75% off !
You, you use to say We'd always be together I, I needed to go And find my own way home
You, you were a part of me And I, I was a part of you But I, I need you now 'Cause I'm so lost without you
So please, show me the way To where you are
Because I miss you I miss you, tenderly I need you here with me Tell me where you are Where among the stars
Remember, when we use to laugh Remember, when we use to cry The memories come and go Tell me where to go Show me, show me a sign To see you one more time
Because I miss you I miss you, tenderly I need you here with me Tell me where you are Where among the stars...
| | We went to the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville on Sunday. This is probably our 5th time to visit there, but it is the 1st time we brought a camera! Museum are always cool because it's FREE! You get to spend quality time with the family and learn a lot for nothing. They added a new "SIMULATOR" feature there, but we had to wait an hour to experience it...and in the end we decided to skip it and try again next time.
The mannequins in the photos are so realistic and detailed! |
It started to rain yesterday and it continued all day today, so we stayed home. We woke up late and have been in and out of bed...watching TV, surfing the net, doing laundry, surfing the net, watching movie and surfing the net! James and I cooked salmon again for dinner tonight, except we mixed it with crab meat, mayo, relish and made a sandwich out of it. It was pretty good, but I'll let James have all the crab next time. Now, we are watching "Role Models" and the boys are really into it...too many bad words though...so we had to make a don't copy what you see speech during the movie .
I really do need to do something productive tomorrow though...so finishing up the laundry and putting away some clothes may make me feel a little better about being lazy today and yesterday...and the day before that...and the day before that...and !
I got so bored, I started taking pictures of myself in front of the computer!!!
Ries playing a part from "Blackbird" by the Beatles in the best acoustic room in the house...the bathroom (it's where the family hangs out the most)! He's only been getting lessons for a month and a half!
